Điểm khó là chủ đề này dễ khiến thí sinh nói chung chung: “AI is very useful”, “I use my phone a lot”.

Điều đáng học là cách Alex mở câu trả lời có lập trường rõ ràng rồi mới giải thích: “To be completely candid, I'm firmly in the computer camp.” Thay vì nói máy tính bảng “yếu”, cậu nói chúng “lack the computational horsepower I need for heavy-duty tasks”, và laptop giúp “streamline my workflow”.

3. Part 2 — Cue card “Describe a change or technology that saves you time”

  1. Trước đây khó ở đâu — “one of my biggest bottlenecks was synthesizing voluminous research papers”, một quá trình “arduous, repetitive” làm cạn “creative bandwidth”.
  2. Quyết định thay đổi — “I decided to take the plunge” cách đây tám tháng.
  3. Công cụ làm được gì — “distill the core arguments into concise bullet points”.
  4. Khó khăn ban đầu — “a steep learning curve”, đặc biệt là prompt engineering và tránh hallucinations.
  5. Kết quả + cảm nhận — việc mất cả buổi chiều nay chưa tới một giờ; AI không thay tư duy mà augments my capabilities bằng cách loại bỏ mundane, mechanical drudgery; nay là một indispensable productivity booster.

Câu hỏi phụ cuối Part 2 được trả lời gọn bằng một thành ngữ: đồng nghiệp “have jumped on the bandwagon”.

— Alex gọi đó là a pressing predicament: the algorithmic black box và the erosion of accountability.

Cách học hiệu quả là so từng cặp:

Câu Band 6 hay gặpCách Alex nói
I like computers more.I'm firmly in the computer camp.
I play on my phone too much.I fall into the trap of mindless doom-scrolling.
reading long documentssynthesizing voluminous research papers
I decided to try it.I decided to take the plunge.
AI helps me.It augments my capabilities.
Everyone uses it now.My colleagues have jumped on the bandwagon.
AI will make jobs disappear.Certain repetitive professions will undoubtedly become obsolete.
People believe AI too much. They accept AI-generated syntheses as gospel truth.

  1. While tablets are remarkably portable, a full-fledged laptop allows me to streamline my daily workflow far more efficiently.
  2. Relying unconditionally on automated tools induces cognitive fatigue and mental atrophy.
  3. Technology does not replace critical thinking; rather, it augments human capabilities by eliminating mundane drudgery.
  4. Educational institutions must pivot away from rote memorization and cultivate analytical skepticism.

Áp dụng ngay

  2. Học bảng Band 6 → Band 8.5 ở mục 5, rồi tự nói lại 3 câu trả lời Part 1 bằng lời của bạn.
  3. Shadowing 4 câu mẫu, mỗi câu 3 lần một ngày.
  4. Trả lời thử thách của tập (viết dưới video YouTube hoặc nói to): “What is one digital application or device that you find absolutely indispensable in your daily life?” — dùng ít nhất hai cụm như streamline my workflow, a double-edged sword.
