IELTS & TOEIC practice test room
💡 Practise in a computer-based exam layout (timer, question palette, flags), then get an estimated band / score and review every question. Echo practice tests are not official exams.
What it is
The practice test room (/learn/exam-simulation, available on plans that include “Exam room”) lets you take IELTS / TOEIC practice tests in a computer-based exam layout, so you get used to the time pressure before the real exam.
Test types
Tests follow 4 stages: one question type → one section → mini test & speed → full test. Each card shows the time, number of questions and passages / sections.
The test bank is being rebuilt with reading passages and recordings written by Echo following the real test format (IELTS: 3 passages × 13–14 questions with True / False / Not Given, Matching Headings, completion…). There may be fewer tests meanwhile.
The test room
- Countdown timer (can be hidden; it reappears in red for the last 5 minutes). When time is up the test is submitted — the server
also enforces the time limit.
- Question palette and flags for questions you want to review.
- Answers save automatically — you can continue if you close the browser.
Results
- An estimated IELTS band / TOEIC score from the number of correct answers, with the equivalent CEFR level.
- Review every question: your answer, the correct answer, and the passage / recording.
- Print a practice report for your own records.
Note: these are Echo Stories practice tests — scores are for reference only, not official IELTS / TOEIC results, and Echo is not affiliated with any test provider.
