Install Echo as an app
💡 Add Echo to your home screen to open it fast and get notifications.
The quick way: “📲 Install the app on your phone”
Tap your avatar (top right) → 📲 Install the app on your phone. On a phone, the Today page also shows an install banner.
- Android (Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet) and computers (Chrome, Edge): tap the button → your browser's install dialog
opens → choose Install. One tap and you're done.
- iPhone / iPad: Apple doesn't let websites open an install dialog, so the button shows step-by-step instructions for the
browser you're using (Safari, Chrome / Edge on iPhone…).
Don't see the button? Install manually
The button hides itself when:
- Echo is already installed, or you opened Echo from its home-screen icon — nothing more to do.
- Your browser can't install web apps (Firefox on desktop / Android, Safari on Mac, Cốc Cốc or older browsers) — open Echo in
Chrome / Edge (Android, computer) or Safari (iPhone).
- Chrome isn't ready to offer the install yet (page just opened, incognito) — reload, or use the browser menu below.
Manual install:
- Android: Chrome → ⋮ menu → Add to Home screen / Install app.
- iPhone / iPad (Safari): the Share button (square with an up arrow — bottom bar on iPhone, top right on iPad) →
Add to Home Screen → Add. Chrome / Edge on iPhone (iOS 16.4+): Share is in the address bar.
- Opened inside Zalo / Facebook / Messenger: in-app browsers can't install → tap ••• → Open in browser (or copy the
link into Safari / Chrome), then follow the steps above.
- Computer (Chrome / Edge): the install icon (screen with an arrow) at the end of the address bar, or menu → **Install Echo
Stories**.
Notifications
After installing, turn on notifications in Me → Settings → Notifications for study reminders, AI results and more (iPhones only get notifications once Echo is installed to the home screen).
